About this file
This document is a Question and Answer (Q/A) file for the LAMR - Energize Storage Building project (Solicitation Number: 140P6025Q0020) issued by the Department of the Interior National Park Service Midwest Region. The project involves installing electrical equipment in a metal storage building with approximate dimensions of 35' length, 24' width, and 12' vertical wall height. Key project requirements include the contractor providing all materials, labor, and permits, installing a Square D 150 amp breaker panel inside the building, and completing work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The project site has no existing power or water, with the main power grid pole located approximately 35' from the building.
The solicitation requires the contractor to be registered in SAM as a Small Business under NAICS 236220, with no additional small business set-aside requirements. No liquidated damages are associated with the project, and no scope modifications are anticipated. The National Park Service will provide site access control via a locked gate. No formal site visit is planned, and Q/A will be issued as amendments. The storage building is currently empty, and no hazardous material abatement is expected. Contractors must verify exterior square footage and material quantities, and notify the electrical distributor upon completion of electrical installation for energizing the structure.
