140P6019Q0022- PIPE Interpretation of NPS Mission 66 Architecture
1. Some areas of the SOW document make mention of the “nomination” text or project. Such an example can be seen on pg. 3, Products #5. To clarify, a nomination update nor a determination of eligibility is part of the deliverables required for this historic context study, correct?
Response to Question 1. While a nomination update (2016), a determination of eligibility (2003), and a nomination listing (1976) all exist for Pipestone National Monument, they are potential reference materials only, not expected deliverables.
2. Does the client information meeting need to be in-person or can it be conducted via video/phone conference? If in-person, would the meeting be on-site at the Pipestone National Monument or the NPS offices in Omaha?
Response to Question 2. The client information meeting could be conducted long distance, however, the park’s preference is that the meeting take place on-site at Pipestone National Monument in Pipestone, MN, especially if the potential consultant is not already familiar with the architectural resources that are the subject of this study.
3. The SOW lists one of the products as a USGS map for the area illustrating the cultural property boundaries with the appropriate UTM references labeled in pencil (pg. 3, point 3). This is a typical deliverable for an NRHP nomination form, but not a context study. Please confirm this is a requirement of the context study.
Response to Question 3. A United States Geological Survey (USGS) map illustrating the cultural property boundaries with Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) references is a requirement of the context study.
4. How many rounds of review by NPS can the consultant expect of the context study prior to finalizing deliverables?
Response to Question 4. The park expects to review a draft, a semifinal, and a final version, involving two rounds of review and a third final approval round.
5. Regarding proposal contents, on page 8 of the RFP, it states that we are to include “Required Documents showing: Green Park Plan...” Can you clarify what we are to include as it relates to the various initiatives listed (the Green Park Plan and the Buy Green and Reduce, Reuse and Recycle Initiative)?
Response to Question 5. The park’s expectation is that waste paper will be recycled and any other potentially environmentally responsible actions be considered routine in the accomplishment of the contract tasks.
