Requirement Specification

Design, Build, Deliver and Install Two Tanks for Treatment of Ordóñez Cannon Carriage

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The park is currently working on a project for conservation of metal objects focused mainly on the historic cannon and solid shot cannonballs. The treatment requires that the objects are submerged on a solution and then to apply electrolysis. The tanks that will be constructed through this requirement will be used to treat the Ordóñez cannon carriage. This cannon dates from 1895 and it is the best-preserved cannon of its type currently in existence. These tanks are needed to complete the preservation and conservation work on the cannon and the carriage and have them back on exhibition as soon as possible.

The procurement shall include the design, delivery and install of two tanks that will be used to perform electrolysis treatment on the carriage of the Ordóñez cannon carriage. The tanks will be delivered and installed in the Cannon Conservation Workshop at the Santa Elena Guardhouse, in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS: Transportation to and from the site will be the responsibility of the contractor. Delivery to the site shall be coordinated with the park. Tanks shall be delivered between 5:00 am - 8:45 am preferably, pre-coordinated through park staff. The park will provide access to the site.
