About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity 140P5326Q0020, Amendment 1, issued by CALO for the furnishing and installation of a 30 kW standby generator system.
The document addresses two key inquiries from potential contractors. First, it clarifies that subcontractor experience may be submitted in lieu of the Prime Contractor's experience for Attachment 04, Section 1 (Relevant Experience), allowing flexibility in how contractors demonstrate qualifications. Second, regarding the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), the contracting officer confirms that no automatic transfer switch installation is required for this project. Instead, contractors should utilize the existing manual switch to control the generator, as the generator will eventually be configured to run two structures in the future. The scope of work has been updated to reflect this clarification, eliminating the need to specify amperage requirements for the ATS options previously mentioned (200Amp, 400Amp, 600Amp, 800Amp, and 1200Amp).
