About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for an HVAC replacement project at multiple locations within a park or facility. The key details include HVAC specifications across four different sites: East Rim FM Shop, Resource Management Facility, Tennessee Log Dormitory, and Tennessee Fire Cache. Consistent requirements across all sites include a minimum 15 SEER rating for new units and specific guidance on equipment sizing, with most sites requiring replacement of existing units with equivalent or similar tonnage systems (3.5-ton, 2-ton, 4-ton). Additional site-specific requirements involve ductwork replacement, line set installations, and concrete pad considerations, such as reusing existing pads or installing new ones. The document provides detailed clarifications on equipment replacement, emphasizing like-for-like replacements and specifying which components can be reused, cleaned, or must be replaced.
