About this file
This document is an Additional Questions and Answers amendment (Amendment 2) for Solicitation 140P5325Q0043, related to fabricated steel closure gates for the Blue Ridge Parkway. The document addresses 17 specific vendor questions about gate specifications, including details about road closed signs, paint requirements, gate configuration, and installation parameters. Key clarifications include confirmation that the solicitation covers 19 pairs of gates, signage must be through-bolted to gates, all base plates must be 1" thick, gates require a white finish for corrosion resistance, and signs/reflective tape must be applied before delivery. The gates are to be delivered to 51 Ranger Drive, Asheville, NC, and are part of a 100% small business set-aside contract using NAICS code 332312 for Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing. The response deadline remains 7/22/2025 at 5 PM EDT.
