About this file
This is a Statement of Work Amendment No. 1 for the Backflow Preventer Replacement project at Natchez National Historical Park (NATC), dated January 26, 2026. The amendment clarifies the quantity and configuration of backflow prevention equipment to be removed and replaced under the existing Statement of Work.
The existing installation consists of one backflow prevention assembly containing two internal check valves housed within a single unit, installed between upstream and downstream isolation valves. The replacement backflow preventer shall be a single code-compliant assembly appropriate for the system served and required level of protection, as determined by applicable codes and standards. The replacement shall be based on the existing configuration unless otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer. All requirements related to isolation, installation, testing, certification, documentation, and restoration of service remain unchanged. The amendment is issued for clarification purposes only and does not alter the overall scope, intent, or nature of the original Statement of Work, with all other terms, conditions, requirements, and provisions remaining in full force and effect.
