QUESTION 1: At the site visit, we noticed that thermo-plastic product had been used for existing markings; however, available project documentation does not contain specifications for thermo-plastic. Please confirm that the restriping is to use the specified paint.

NPS RESPONSE 1: Restriping shall use PAINT as specified in the solicitation/contract documents.

No thermo-plastic striping required for project at this date and time.

QUESTION 2: The existing bicycling lane logos will be very difficult to match. Would it be the client's preference that the existing logo be

"blacked out" in a square manner and the new logo applied over the blacked area? Would it be the client's preference to do a similar "black out" application for Handicap logos as well? Please clarify client preferences.

NPS RESPONSE 2: Park preference is that all logo's of each type match in size, shape and color. If black out will achieve a clean professional look, such means and methods of construction will be acceptable to the Park.

QUESTION 3: Will glass beads be required for the striping?

NPS RESPONSE 3: No, only materials required to meet the initial daytime chromaticity requirements as stated in FDOT 971-1.6.

Reflective Glass Beads for Traffic Paint would not be cost effective, due to the amount of scraping and sweeping of the roadway to remove sand.
