Text version

1. How many trams will be made available and operational? The contract states 4-6. Is it the Park’s plan to have at least 4 ready by March 13th? No, correction to the scope, three (3) trams will be used for the season (alternating throughout the day while the others are charging). One tram shall run routes during core hours of operation, and two trams will run occasionally to meet ridership demand.

2. Will the condition of the trams be certified as being able to handle the needs of the Park for the duration of the contract? Yes, Emerald Coast Golf Carts will certify the three (3) trams for the start of the season, however the NPS cannot project any needed repairs during the season. Can we be present at the inspection? Yes, but date and time must be worked out between the contractor and Emerald Coast Golf Carts. Who will conduct the inspection? Emerald Coast Golf Carts.

3. Is the park going to continue to carry insurance on all trams since they are not the contractor’s property? This is crucial especially in the event of a natural disaster that damages the trams while being stored and/or transported? Federal government is self insured - there is no insurance on the trams. If trams are damaged during a storm the NPS would replace, however if damaged is due to the contractor’s fault or negligence, responsibility for repair or replacement will rest with the contractor.

4. Is the Park still going to be responsible for repairs needed to Battery Langdon that are out of the control of the contractor (i.e. several parts of the automatic door had to be replaced last year)? Battery Langdon is the responsibility of the NPS. Please clarify what does “Interior and exterior basic maintenance and minor repairs” refer to in the Battery Langdon section? Any damaged to the battery caused by neglect of the contractor's drivers will be the contractor's responsibility to repair.

5. Is there a maximum monetary value that the contractor will be responsible for to keep the trams operational? No.

6. Are any unused trams going to be available for parts to keep existing trams operational? Tram #4 was used last year for parts and will be available this FY. Any parts needed that cannot be taken from Tram #4 will be the responsibility of the contractor to keep the three (3) assigned operational.

7. There were no plastic covers for the trams at the end of last season, and some PA systems were in-operational. Will those issues be addresses before the start of the contract? There will not be any plastic covers for the trams and the three (3) trams assigned to the contractor will be inspected and any repairs done before turning them over to the contractor.

8. Is the contractor going to be responsible for moving and storage of trams that are not handed over to the contractor as operational at the beginning of the contract? No.
