Amendment 1, Attachment 1 Questions and Answers

1. Can the government specify which markings are “old, unwanted” markings?

Yes, it will be all of the markings leading up to the crosswalk that is associated with the crossing. Not the Crosswalk itself. The only existing crosswalk to be grinded off (removed) is the crosswalk at the campsite. The new crosswalk will be angled differently.

The Park believes that the existing crosswalks can be painted over as described in the SOW, achieving the same goal without having to grind off the old crosswalk.

If vendors do not agree, the Park would like to know the appropriate means and methods.

2. Can the government confirm that the only crosswalk painting which needs to be removed using an asphalt grinder is the crosswalk at the campsite?

Yes. The only existing crosswalk to be grinded off (removed) is the crosswalk at the campsite. The new crosswalk will be angled differently.

3. Can the submission date be extended to a later date to address questions asked during the site visit?

Yes. The due date is extended to 5:00PM Eastern, Friday February 4, 2022.
