Salt Pond Visitor Center Wastewater Treatment System Service Testing and Maintenance

Questions and Answers:
1) How big is recirculation tank? The recirculation tank is the third tank and is 8,000 gallons.
The first septic tank is 9,000 gallons and the second septic tank is 6,640 gallons.
2) Do you test influent wastewater in addition to effluent? Yes, we sample influent.
3) How often is the septic tank pumped? Twice per year.
4) Is there pumped or passive venting? Passive.
5) What is the frequency of additions to the sodium bicarbonate dosing tank?
Currently the sodium bicarbonate is added to the tank twice per week the dosing is 24 hours per day at a steady pace, but we are looking for guidance from the service contractor on how much to add, how often, and proper dosing levels.
