140P4224Q0092 Q&A
140P4224Q0092 Termite Control at Colonial National Historical Park
Contractor Questions
Question: Can the NPS provide a LF of footprint for every building?
We can. However, the most efficient way to handle this is for everyone to utilize Google Earth/Maps to measure the outlines of each of the structures. The NPS does not have footprint sizes readily available in a database and would be doing the same type of operation. Utilizing this method is the approved/preferred method.
Question: Are there units/bait stations already installed?
Yes. However, there are a couple new buildings added from the last contract and in those areas there are not existing stations. These buildings are as follows:
· Church Street Comfort Station-209 Church St, Yorktown, VA 23690
· Yorktown Visitor Center, 1000 Colonial Parkway, Yorktown VA 23690
· Jamestown Maintenance Area Office/Eq Storage 539 Neck O Land Rd, Williamsburg VA 23185 (or 1332 Colonial Parkway)
· Jamestown Maintenance Area Storage Shed 539 Neck O Land Rd, Williamsburg VA 23185
· Edmund Smith House Outbuilding-208 Nelson Street, Yorktown VA 23690
· Nelson House Wisteria Cottage-215 Read St, Yorktown, VA 23690
· Somerwell House Stables -401 Main Street, Yorktown VA 23690
Question: If a new product is used has the disposal of the existing bait stations been worked out? Who is responsible for those?
The bait stations are the property of the current contractor. Removal would need to be coordinated with them.
Question: What is the current bait system?
Sentricon
Question: Who would the stations be returned to?
Current contractor is Pest Masters.
Question: Who has the current contract?
Pest Masters
Question: Will the park use any liquid baits?
No.
Question: Are bids available from the previous contract?
No
Question: Are there any other buildings that are not on the list?
No, the contract is only for those structures enumerated on the list in the statement of services.
Question: Were there previous liquid treatment/baits utilized at the park?
There may have been, but we do not have evidence of that readily available.
Question: Would the Park be amenable to treating wooden members with Borates?
No, this contract calls solely for bait stations and monitoring services.
