Q: The magnitude currently shows between $25k and 100k. If the project does not exceed $150k, can we exclude this clause as a requirement?
A: Performance bonds are not required at this dollar value, but Payment Bonds are (see FAR 28.102-1). The Clauses remain unchanged.
Q: Laydown yard area location (for rebar, stone, materials storage, etc.)?
A: Designated site work area, graveled access road (from hard surface utilized w/ adjacent housing units) including turnaround mid-point (solicitation drawing reflected) and adjacent regularly mowed lawn grass areas may be utilized. Any disturbed areas are to be restored to current or better conditions. For example, lawn/road shoulder grass - vegetation areas are to be restored with suitable lawn grass re-established. Adjacent facilities and supporting utilities access are to be maintained for SNP, Concessionaire, staff, and utilities providers use.
Site work area (generally reflected as the labeled & clouded area on the solicitation drawing) is the regularly mowed area containing the camper sites and supporting utilities.
If additional area(s) are needed, contractor may coordinate with designed COR (Contracting Officer’s Representation) and subject to SNP (Shenandoah National Park) approval.
