About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding Solicitation #140P4223Q0077 from the Department of the Interior National Park Service Northeast Region for audio/visual upgrade work at the Yorktown Visitor Center in Colorado. The solicitation seeks a contractor to provide and configure two tablet touchscreens for controlling all video, audio, and lighting functions at the center, with one tablet mounted on an equipment rack and the second on a movable tabletop holder. The touchscreens are to allow daily automatic on/off scheduling by center staff. Reference to the Harpers Ferry Center relates to its expertise in audio/visual equipment selection rather than duplication of a specific prior project. Questions and Answers

Q1. The bid solicitation also refers to Harper Ferry Center and not Yorktown Victory Center. Is the attempt to duplicate what was done at that location for this project?

A1. No, not necessarily. Harpers Ferry Center helped us with the language, and are the subject matter experts when it comes to AV equipment. Refernce may be legacy, and not necessarily pertinent to this particular job.

Q2. I do not see any info desk button requirements, is this correct?

A2. There is not a button at the desk per se. Per the SOW though the contractor shall provide "Two identical tablet touchscreens. One tablet shall be mounted in a holder on the equipment rack that provides continuous power and allows it to be released. The second tablet shall be mounted on a tabletop holder that is movable, provides power to the tablet, and allows it to be released. The contractor shall configure the system to turn itself on and off daily, at times set by staff via the tablet touchscreens. All video, audio and lighting functions shall be controlled by the touchscreen tablets."
