About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to solicitation number 140P4223Q0042 from the National Park Service for acoustic ceiling tiles and wall panels at New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. The park seeks to replace 312 standard fiberglass black acoustic ceiling tiles in a 24" by 24" grid, along with 10 HVAC vents, 20 can lights, and a 12" round PA speaker in the ceiling. The acoustic wall panels dimensions are specified in the solicitation. Bidders should inspect the site as ceiling tiles, grid, lights and other fixtures will need to be worked around during installation. No changes to the ceiling tile layout are required unless the grid replacement necessitates alterations, which would be the contractor's responsibility.

140P4223Q0042 – Acoustic Ceiling Tiles and Wall Panels New River Gorge National Park and Preserve
Contractor Questions:
Question: Would the NPS like to keep the same style of tiles and just upgrade them to the color black, or completely change the style and layout? Acoustic ceiling tiles come in various styles and sizes and there is a significant difference in price, and we do not want to overbid by misinterpreting the expectation. The solicitation noted the dimensions of the acoustic panels for the walls, but not the ceiling tiles so please confirm the expectation to the best of your ability.
Answer: We counted 312 (24" X 24") ceiling tiles. There are also 10 (24' X 24") HVAC vents in the ceiling, along with 20 can lights and a 12" round PA speaker. The contractors will see that as they walk through as they will need to work with those items during the installation. Also, the ceiling tiles can be a standard fiberglass Black acoustic ceiling tile, the grid is also black. No changes in the layout unless there is a problem with the replacement of the grid and that will have to fall on the contractor installing it.
