SCOPE OF SERVICES

Crosswalk Striping & Roadway Markings

BACKGROUND:

Crosswalks and roadway markings are striped throughout the Parks roads and over time become faded and worn due to weather and traffic. This makes them nonfunctional for what they are intended, which is to make crossings and parking areas both convenient and safe at locations with adequate visibility.

1. PURPOSE:

The purpose of this contract is to apply an approved Thermoplastic to the listed crosswalks and roadway areas throughout the park so that they are visible to pedestrians, motorists and cyclists.

Crosswalks should not be slippery, create tripping hazards, or be difficult to traverse by those with diminished mobility or visual capabilities. Crosswalk materials must be installed to meet ADA compliance.

2. LOCATION:

All work is located at The National Mall and Memorial Park, Washington DC 20242. All quantities should be field verified for accuracy.
