QUESTIONS & ANSWERS REGARDING:
SOLICITATION/REQUEST FOR Quotes NO. 140P3021Q0058
Amendment 0001
Improve Oak Ridge Accessibility (Parking Lots) at Prince William Forest Park
(AMENDMENT 0001)
QUESTIONS RECEIVED AS OF 8/17/2021:
1. Based on quantities anticipated in the SOW/Solicitation, it does not appear that there is enough 21A accounted for to place 4” across new paved areas. Is it anticipated that 21A will only need to be placed in the expanded areas of the pads?
ANSWER: If there is sufficient 21-A stone under the existing pad to be removed, then adding the 21-A stone will be all that is needed for the pad expansion. A total of 4 inches of 21-A compacted stone shall be maintained throughout the entire constructed pad, rolled/compacted into place whether it be using some existing stone, added stone, or a combination of both.
2. Could you provide a map indicating the routes to be used for access to/from the campground and any suitable staging/stockpile sites in the park?
ANSWER: See maps attached. All construction traffic shall enter at Liming Lane entrance into the park from Joplin Road. Then all construction traffic shall turn left onto Scenic Drive. Then all construction traffic shall turn left onto Oak Ridge Road. Staging area is to the right on Westgate Road at the end of Oak Ridge Road. This route is the only allowable route for construction traffic in AND out of Oak Ridge Campgrounds.
3. Is it acceptable for equipment to be left onsite overnight, and if so where is a suitable location?
ANSWER: Yes, see maps attached. Staging of equipment shall be at Westgate Road only. Equipment shall be “trailered” to and from individual pad sites, but trucks and equipment cannot block campground travel roadway.
