The purpose of this amendment is to adjust specs for wood siding, change the solicitation close date and change the period of performance/delivery date.
1. The grade of wood siding is hereby changed from Grade A or better to Grade B or better
(see attached SOW with highlighted change).
2. The solicitation due date is hereby extended 26 August 2024 by 1400 CST.
3. The delivery time for all materials is hereby changed from 15 days after award to 30 days after award.

Document Title CANE Barracks Windows and Siding
HISTORIC PRESERVATION TRAINING CENTER
SCOPE OF WORK: Independently, and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and delivery of the following items:
I. Western Red Cedar Board and Batton Exterior Siding
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and transportation to furnish and deliver exterior siding boards made from Western
Red Cedar (WRC). All siding boards shall meet the quantities, specifications, and requirements below:
• Kiln Dried WRC boards
• Square edge, Surfaced 1 side and 2 edges (S1S2E)
• Grade: B and better, NLGA para 200a, b
• 400 boards, 12 feet in length, 1” thick x 10” wide, nominal size
• 200 boards, 12 feet in length, 1” thick x 6” wide, nominal size
II. Aluminum Clad, Insulated Wood Windows
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and transportation to furnish and deliver ten (10), aluminum clad, insulated wood window units. All windows shall meet the quantities, specifications, and requirements below:
• Single Hung style, Basis of Design, Pella Architect Series or equal
• Ten (10) windows, 34” wide and 61” high
• Exterior finish is aluminum clad, black in color.
• Interior finish is wood, stain or varnish, natural color.
• Glazing: Glass, Clear, insulating, with low-E coating.
• Accessories: Dividers (false muntins)
• Insect Screens: At each operable exterior sash, with aluminum frames and without wickets.
• Window performance requirements:
o Product Standard: AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440, minimum performance class: CW, minimum performance grade: 40.
o Thermal Transmittance: 0.30 Btu/sq. ft. x h x deg F (1/71 W/sq. m x K) maximum.
o Solar Heat-Gain Coeffcient: 0.30 maximum o Sound Transmission Class: 30 minimum o Windborne-Debris Resistance: Passing ASTM E1886 and requirements of authorities having jurisdiction.
III. DELIVERY:
Delivery of materials shall be 30 days after award of contract or before. Delivery shall be made between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
(CST). Preservation, packaging, and packing for all shipments shall be in accordance with good commercial practices. This shall include adequate packaging and marking to prevent deterioration and damage during shipment, handling, and storage. The Contractor shall be responsible for offloading windows and siding at the final destination. Placement of the off-loaded windows and siding shall

140P2124Q01990002 be at the discretion of the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) within a distance of up to 100 feet from the truck. Advance notice shall be given to the COR at least 2 business days prior to delivery to the following address:

IV. INSPECTION
Upon delivery, all materials shall be visibly inspected to meet standards. Siding boards or windows that have been broken or damaged in anyway will be rejected.
