Q:

Please provide a list of all participating parks and which locations have internet connectivity.

A:

We don’t have details on connectivity for each location, but a list of locations that issue passes is at https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/pickup-pass-locations.htm. This is just a starting point because there are many more locations that accept the pass but don't issue/sell them. For example, there are many Forest Service trailheads where a visitor leaves their pass on the dashboard of their vehicle as proof of payment.

A list of approximately 100 National Park Service sites that issue and accept passes is located at https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/fee-free-parks-state.htm. Bureau of Land Management says that as of 2021 they have 425 fee collection areas. 29 had wifi service available and 157 had cell service or limited cell service. Additionally, there are 67 locations with the Fish & Wildlife Service and 200 with the US Army Corps of Engineers that may be viewed by selecting the Federal Agency dropdown box on https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/pickup-pass-locations.htm

Recreation.gov users may leave reviews that include rating their experience with cell phone connectivity. For example the reviews for Hood Park is a USACE Day use site with good cell connectivity https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/233514?tab=ratings. We're not sure of the accuracy of this information and Recreation.gov only shows this information for reservable sites (and they may or may not honor passes).
