About this file

This document contains questions and responses related to solicitation number 140P2021R0073 for a Visitor Center Rehab project at Fort Donelson in Dover, TN. The project involves rehabilitating an existing visitor center, with base bid items for general construction and optional additions for further upgrades. The responses clarify that doors should be type F, not FG or FG2; the base bid and optional additions should be bid and awarded separately; key personnel roles like superintendent require separate individuals; temporary facilities must meet specifications; and the contractor will be responsible for defects from prior work. Unearthing artifacts could impact schedules according to archaeological specifications. If funded, the contract would award before September 24, 2021 and approvals are through the NPS Regional Fire Manager, not the state. Existing materials will be removed before mobilization and small concrete holes will be filled with epoxy and repair mortar.
