About this file
This document contains questions and responses related to a federal solicitation to rehabilitate the lower level of the Jefferson Memorial. Key details include:
-
The solicitation is issued by the National Park Service for NAMA 303091 to rehabilitate the lower level, modernize the elevator under NAMA 252582, and provide accessible walkways under NAMA 252580.

-
Scope involves removal of contaminated soil estimated at 77,891 square feet, though delineation reduced this. Replacement fill is not required. Salvaged materials and plumbing fixtures must be stored for NPS.
-
Options include allowance for repairing five historic bronze doors. Phasing plans may span 10 pages. Elevator details and contacts are provided. Background checks cover $1,000 for personnel. Incumbent elevator maintenance is TBD.
