Questions and Government Responses listed below:
Question # Question Answer/Response
1. Please clarify if the performance bond must be provided by the prime contractor directly, or if a performance bond from a teaming partner fulfilling the scope of work would satisfy this requirement.
Performance Bonds must come from the Prime Contractor.
2. Could you confirm if there have been any previous solicitations posted for this project? If so, please provide the dates when they were posted
140P1523P0011. Posted to SAM.gov on January 30, 2023
3. The existing doors are a vinyl back with a polystyrene insulation, roughly the R-value is around 9-10. The bid is requesting steel back doors and an R-value of 18. Is the government looking for that much of an upgrade?
On the part of the government, we did not show RH11 or RH08 during the site visit. The doors that were installed at these units are steel back doors and we want to remain consistent with material throughout the other units. We are looking for doors that may in the future, cut back on heating costs and withstand the high desert winds.
4. The required materials, dimensions, and insulation specifications for the doors.
Requirements are for the contractor to supply all material needed to replace 8 garage doors. Garage Doors, Railings, Electronic Opener, etc. R-Value of 18. Dimensions are shown on the SOW.
5. Whether the doors should be motorized or manual, and any preferred brands or models.
The doors should open with motor driven assist and remote access. No preferred brand names.
6. Any additional features, finishes, or compliance requirements we should be aware of.
No additional features, finishes, or compliance

7. Are there any restrictions on site access we need to account for?
No restrictions, a pin will be provided for the mechanical gate to access the housing drive.
Contractor can use onsite restroom located by VC.
8. Will there be a designated area for staging materials and equipment?
Yes, the housing overflow parking can be used as a staging area. Most units are vacant, so material can be staged in front of the units that are vacant.
Please confirm with park before staging begins.
9. Are there any known structural issues with the existing garage door openings that may require additional work?
No known structural issues exist
10. Can the Government provide pictures? Please see below. House 4 and House 12 are not included in these photos.
