About this file

This document is an Amendment with Questions and Answers related to Solicitation #140P1524Q0042 for the National Park Service (NPS) to re-stripe four sites at Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument in Flagstaff, Arizona. The solicitation allows for the use of either Standard Specification TT-P-1952 TYPE II or High Build Waterborne paint in lieu of Solventborne Traffic Paint, as long as temperatures are above 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Most parking lots can be fully closed during the striping work, except for the Sunset Visitor Center Lot which will need to remain partially open. The standard handicap symbol is acceptable. No bid, payment, or performance bonds are required as this is a service contract. The Amendment does not change any other solicitation clauses or dates.

Question # Question Answer/Response

1. Striping Specifications: Will a Standard

Specification TT-P-1952 TYPE II or High Build

Waterborne paint be acceptable in lieu of

Solventborne Traffic Paint?

Yes, this is acceptable as long as temps are above 50 degrees

Fahrenheit.

2. Can one parking lot be fully closed until the striping is complete or does a section of the parking lot need to remain open to visitors?

Most lots can be fully closed except for the Sunset Visitor

Center Lot, which will need to remain partially open to allow for building access. However, if striping is finished before

Standard Handicap Symbol?

The standard symbol is fine.

4. Will there be any Bond requirements: Bid Bond, Payment Bond , or Performance Bond ?

Being done as a service contract, No BONDS are required.
