QUESTIONS:

Question # Question Answer/Response

1. Regarding your bid document, specifically on page 32, it mentions, "An existing fiber optic line runs along US-2, with the service extension requirement from US-2 to the

Park's northern entrance at the Middle Fork Flathead

River bridge." Could you clarify if the National Park owns the existing dark fiber along US-2? If so, could you specify the connection point for this dark fiber? If not, may we request the ownership details of the fiber?

The Park does not own any fiber lines outside of the park boundary.

We believe MtnMax owns a line along US-2 close to West Glacier but the park does not know where it runs or ends.

We believe it’s BNSF fiber.

2. Do you already have an ISP? Is the job running fiber between buildings, or into new construction?

The Park Headquarters building is served by an outdated copper line that is serviced by Lumen. No fiber optic infrastructure exists between the Park Boundary and the Park

Headquarters building. See response to question 3.

3. Or is this bid for running from the ISP node all the way to the national park?

The Contractor will coordinate with local fiber optic service providers to extend service to the Park Boundary and to the Park Headquarters building. New fiber optic cables and conduit shall be installed.
