About this file

This amendment modifies a solicitation for aerial spraying services for Saguaro National Park. The amendment provides a bidder question asking for the number of acres to be treated and a map, to which the government responds that the areas sprayed and total acreage cannot be determined in advance and will depend on rainfall and buffelgrass greenness when the helicopter is present. On average 275 acres were sprayed in 2020 and 2021, with potential treatment areas included in the original solicitation package. Park staff will provide daily digital targets to the pilot based on conditions. The period of performance is from September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2026.

14. DESCRIPTION OF AMENDMENT/MODIFICATION (Organized by UCF section headings, including solicitation/contract subject matter where feasible.)

The purpose of Amendment 0001 is to provide a Bidder Question and Government response:

Bidder Question: How many acres and could you please provide a map?

GOV Response: The areas sprayed and total acreage to be treated cannot be determined in advance because where the spraying happens depends largely on the rainfall and which areas are green enough to spray when the helicopter is here. For 2020 and 2021, an average of

275 acres were sprayed. Many of the areas near the helicopter landing spots have been successfully treated in the past, so current targets will require more ferry time than in
