About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation #140P1425Q0030 for Glacier National Park's procurement of ¾" Crushed Gravel. The Q&A provides critical details for potential contractors, including delivery specifications, equipment requirements, and administrative guidelines. Key details include delivery hours restricted to Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM MST, a requirement for a Weed Free Certificate from the park, and mandatory SAM.gov registration prior to submitting a quote. Regarding equipment, contractors can use side dumps, belly dumps, or end dumps with pup trailers, with a recommendation against using belly dumps with pup trailers. There is no limit on the number of trucks that can haul simultaneously, provided trucks are spaced out to allow time for load management. An NPS operator will handle pushing and stockpiling delivered loads, with contractors responsible for delivering and dumping gravel at the designated storage area while providing load tickets.
