The purpose of Amendment 0003 is to provide the questions (indicated as Q#) received in response to this solicitation and provide the answers (indicated as A#) to the questions received. This amendment does not extend the response due date. The response due date was extended with Amendment 0002.

Q1. Do we need pointed posts or round post with concrete. And also, are we able to install bracing in the corners and ends? It would help support when pulling the wire. We would like to use wood post on all the ends to pull to secure wire if possible.

A1. The government prefers pointed posts to limit ground disturbance. Yes, H-brace style bracing should be installed to support wire stretching where needed.

Q2. There is some fence left standing, but the statement of work says nothing about removing it.

Does the old fencing need to be removed?

A2. Box 10 of the SF 1442 indicates there is approximately 30 ft of wire and one anchor post to be removed from the area.

Q3. Is brush removal allowed?

A3. Brush removal will be allowed.

Q4. Will NPS have the fence line marked prior to building the new fence?

A4. The fence line will be well marked post survey.

Q5. Where the fence crosses large gullies can we build a nice road into and out of the gullies to facilitate building the fence? This will also allow the fence to remain standing longer.

A5. Yes however, any dirt work will have to be monitored by the park and will need a 1 week notice before they proceed.

Q6. Brush Removal: Could you confirm whether brush removal is permissible within the scope of the project?

A6. Brush removal will be allowed.

Q7. Government Survey and Fence Line Marking: The solicitation indicates that a government survey will be conducted prior to project commencement.

To ensure accurate alignment with project requirements, could you please specify if the fence line will be clearly marked during this survey?

A7. The fence line will be well marked post survey.

Q8. Construction of Roads across Gullies: In instances where the fence intersects large gullies, are we permitted to construct roads to facilitate ingress and egress from these areas?

Such roads would not only streamline the construction process but also contribute to the longevity of the fence structure.

A8. Yes however, any dirt work will have to be monitored by the park and will need a 1 week notice before they proceed.

Q9. Is there any potential that the award date
