1. For each characterized line item waste product on the bid worksheet can you provide an estimate of the amount to be collected? Especially for the initial pick-up.
The current inventory is not exact as the park does not have the means of man power to log each item as it collects but does periodically; the latest inventory was conducted prior to the solicitation package being compiled (3-4 months ago). It is the park’s intention to provide a general inventory prior to scheduling a pickup and the awarded contractor will bill accordingly to what they pick up and provide a manifest for.
Last conducted inventory of materials held by park:
15 individual gallons of solvents, 55 gallon drum of paint thinner/paint 5 55 gallon drums of contaminated soil (fuel clean up) 15 gallons household cleaners 3 55 gallon drums of polymer 2,000 8oz iso butane cannisters 150 8oz aerosol butane 10 unmarked pressurized gas cannisters (10 oz) 100 cryogen cannisters 1200 bear spray cannisters 14 5 gallon buckets of mixed batteries 1 gallon of oil paint 4 gallons of latex paint 2 55 gallon drums of broken fluorescent and CFL light bulbs 110 gallons of pH and conductivity Buffers (mild) 55 gallons of pH and conductivity Buffers (strong) 1 55 gallon drum chlorine 2 55 gallon drum sodium hydroxide 55 gallons formaldehyde 110 gallons antifreeze 500 lbs friable asbestos shingles 5 lbs non-friable asbestos insulation
2. How many pickups do you estimate each month? The q&a stated two days per week, one day to inventory/package and one day to transport to Bozeman. I have researched Clean Management in Bozeman that would be able to take the waste, but without any firm generator quantity estimate, I am unable to secure a bid from them to take the waste.
This is an annual service for the haz/uni. The gas cannisters would be bi-annual.
3. Do you have a loading dock and forklift available to load the material?
Yes, the government will provide a forklift and operator - the contractor must schedule in advance.
4. As your incumbent has been handling this waste stream, could you provide a history of inventory transported for the past year?
See below for contents of a historical (2020) inventory picked up by the incumbent, please note this was considered a “high volume” pick up as the Park cleaned out some of its facilities storage. This is not to be used as a baseline or projected inventory for future services, this is only provided as an example of prior inventoried items.
