Questions & Answers

Question #1: On Attachment #01 Statement of Work, It States:

“PACS must comply with Department of Homeland Security HSPD-12 requirements as implemented by the Department of Interior Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Policy and Guide for Federal Employees and Contractors and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Federal Information Processing Standards 201 (FIPS201-2). U.S. Government PIV-8 cards and utilize a pin pad, which allows a 4-digit pin for access. The PACS system must be Federal Identity, Credential and Access Management (FICAM) compliant and listed on the GSA approved products list provided at the link below.”

Will internet access be provided for a full FICAM System configuration or will the system be stand-alone?

Answer: No internet access is available so it will not be fully FICAM compliant at this time. They will operate as local access control until such time as we can get internet access (and when that will happen is unknown).

Question #2: Each site has an existing security network for the PACS and cameras systems. Can we utilize this network for communication between buildings?

Answer: We assuming you are referring to the Alaska Fire Service site, and the existing system uses the local area network.

Question #3: SSAs - We have two that will need to be reviewed in December, Ft Wainwright & Fairbanks. I was looking to confirm how I should provide the pricing as I believe we've previously sent these over through Cynergy Professional our small business IT partner.

Answer: The existing licenses included only CCSC, we’ve not obtained SSA licenses for GFO, FDO, or AFS.

That is part of this contract.

Question #4: Are door schedules available to identify the type of door and type of door frames?

Answer: No.

Question #5: What version of Symmetry is currently being used?

Answer: 8.0.2

Question #6: Is there a current SSA?

Answer: Only for CCSC site.

Question #7: Specs say the systems are offline, are they trying to install one main server for enrollment and connect the sites or will each site be standalone with their own server and individual enrollment software?

Answer: Each site is stand alone, and we assume the comment regarding “offline” refers to no internet access which is correct.

Question #8: For AFS are those all separate buildings and if so, how are they connected? Fiber, copper, point to point? Where will the headend be located?

Answer: Headend is in building 1541 currently. Copper within the buildings, fiber between the buildings.

Question #9: Will the access control system be on the BLM internal network or will the access control network be isolated?

Answer: Isolated, no system has an internet connection.

Question #10: For a FICAM system to check the revocation list they need to be hooked up to the internet, will internet connection be available at each location?

Answer: No, see other responses but no system has an internet connection.

Question #11: How many credentials/ card holders will be enrolled at each location?

Answer: Unknown for each location, ballpark 200 minimum.

Question #12: If the current client computer does not meet Symmetry 9.3 specs who will be responsible for upgrading the client computer?

Answer: The contractor as part of this contract, to include upgrading the operating system to Windows 10.

Question #13: What is the model or brand of the Intrusion detection system?

Answer: Bosch

Question #14: What current licenses are being utilized within Symmetry? Reader, Client, Dataconnect, XML, Intrusion, Video, Intercom? Is it possible to get a list of current licenses?
