Questions – 140L6224R006

1. Can I bid on the install of this material?

· BLM will be installing it themselves. That is why it is only for seed and mulch.

2. Is this for the aerial application of hydromulch?

· The Specifications state: 3.0 Delivery or Deliverables only:

a. Quantity (600), 50‐pound bales of 100% Wood fiber mulch.

b. Quantity (8), 3‐pound bags of organic tackifier. It is just the materials to be delivered to the office.

3. Must they be the exact products specified or can be equivalent products?

· An equivalent is fine.

4. 8x 3-lb. bags of guar really isn't even enough tackifier for one ton of hydromulch. This looks more like the application rate for PAM tackifier. Guar is usually specified to be applied at between 100 and 200 lbs. per ton of mulch.

Are they sure this is the quantity of guar they want for 15 tons of hydromulch?

· So that should be 8 (8x 3 lb) or equivalent, which would be about 192 lbs.
