AMENDMENT: 0005
Q1. Looking at this concrete paving at the Split Rock Parking Lot and the cross section you give as 6’’ thick concrete surface could you please spell out exactly what we need to do for reinforcement. I see you say to use WYDOT Specs. But WYDOT PCP is always at least 8’’ thick and class A concrete and you call out Class B At 6’’ so I just wondered if you could tell us exactly what you want.
A1. The specifications indicate to have 6 inches thick of concrete with reinforcement. The specifications state: Part 2 Products: Section 2.1A Portland cement, Type II A. Section 2.1.D Reinforcing Steel Shall have a yield point of 40 KSI and be grade 40.
The reinforcement of the steel should be laid out 18 inches on center and tied together above the ground.
The drawings state to use WYDOT Road and Bridge Specs but this is in the notes of the cross section of the drawings. The specifications take precedence over drawings.
