Foundation results as outlined above are based on EEI Dwg. #83431E01 and geotechnical report as previously furnished by others. Our results are only accurate provided the foundation will be properly installed per EEI foundation details as furnished.

Comments:

Per our analysis, including only those items outlined in the results section of this report, the relocated 40' self-supporting tower located at Bald Mesa, UT will meet the specifications of TIA- 222-H with relocated loading provided all information as supplied to EEI is correct and current and all criteria as outlined in this report is met.

The scope of this analysis is limited to the items specifically outlined in the “Results” section of this report. Items such as antenna mounts, platforms, etc… have not been independently analyzed and Ehresmann Engineering, Inc. makes no claim as to their capacity or adequacy for this application. Antenna mounts or other appurtenances designed and fabricated by

Ehresmann Engineering, Inc. can be analyzed separately upon request. Cost will be quoted at time of request.

Feedlines were considered to be installed as shown on EEI drawing #83431F01. If tower loading is changed or altered in any way, an additional analysis should be completed.

We recommend that all dishes be face mounted. However, in certain cases depending on the tower face width and dish size, leg mounts may be deemed acceptable if evaluated. It is also recommended that dish stiff-arms are attached to a separately installed member and not attached directly to tower diagonals or legs.

Due to the tubular construction of some members in the subject tower it is very difficult to tell the amount of rust, if any, is present in the tower members at this time. These members can be ultrasonically tested to determine the area of steel remaining, however to be absolutely sure that no rusting is taking place, each tubular member would have to be tested every square inch, which is not feasible.

We are not implying that the subject tower does have rusting problems; we are simply stating that we cannot guarantee that no rusting is taking place. EEI cannot account for nor be responsible if there is in fact rusting in the tower members. Our stress ratios as shown on our analysis and in the results section of this report are based on steel being in new condition with no rusting or deterioration.

Upon request we can furnish installation details with materials to allow antenna installation and/or completion of required modifications if outlined. We can also furnish services regarding supervising installation and inspection after project completion. If you require any of the services outlined above please notify for scheduling purposes.

If you elect to have any antenna mounts or modification materials designed, fabricated or furnished by someone other than EEI, we cannot account for nor be held responsible for the items themselves or any adverse effects that they may inflict on the tower. Use of mounts and/or material not designed and furnished by EEI may void this analysis. Caution must be taken when installing antenna mounts so as no damage is inflicted on tower legs.

We would like to point out the fact that we considered this tower to be in near new condition when completing our structural analysis. No allowance was made for missing, damaged or deteriorating tower materials.

This report is based on the following:

1. Tower properly installed and maintained.

2. All members in good condition.

3. All members in place.

4. All bolts in place and properly tightened.

5. Tower being in plumb condition.

6. All tower materials being properly designed, detailed and fabricated in accordance with all applicable codes.

7. All concrete reinforcing steel is in good condition and adequate to develop the foundation loads.

8. Due to lack of information regarding welded connections on towers that were not designed and fabricated by Ehresmann Engineering, the capacity of welded connections was considered to meet or exceed the capacity of the connecting members. It is the Customer/Owner’s option and responsibility to have welded connection capacities verified.

Upon request Ehresmann Engineering Inc. will visit the previously described tower site and inspect tower, lines, and antennas for compliance to this engineering analysis in its entirety upon completion of project. Cost will be quoted at time of request.

If you elect not to have Ehresmann Engineering perform this inspection after project completion, Ehresmann Engineering cannot be held responsible for installation of antennas, antenna mounts, feedlines and/or modification materials in accordance with our analysis and specifications.

Ehresmann Engineering Inc. is not responsible for any modifications completed prior to or hereafter which Ehresmann Engineering Inc. is not or was not directly involved.

Such modifications to include but are not limited to:

1. Replacing or strengthening bracing members.

2. Reinforcing vertical members in any manner.

3. Installing antenna mounts.

4. Extending tower.

Note that this analysis does not take into account unusual or extreme weather conditions such as heavy ice loading with moderate wind speeds, tornadoes, hurricanes, windshear, harmonic conditions or natural frequency conditions.

Ehresmann Engineering, Inc., hereby states that this document represents the entire report and that it assumes no liability for any factual changes that may occur after the date of this report.
