105.02 Material Sources. Amend as follows:
(a) Government-provided sources. Delete the last paragraph and substitute the following:
The quality of material is generally acceptable. Variations in quality should be expected as it is not feasible to ascertain the quality of material for an entire deposit from exploratory samples. Determine the quantity, type of equipment, and work necessary and produce acceptable material to be incorporated into the work.
Aggregate source quality tests as shown in the Sampling, Testing, and Acceptance Requirements table of the other Sections are not required. If aggregate source quality tests are performed, follow the requirements of the Sampling, Testing, and Acceptance Requirements tables. Allow the CO the opportunity to witness sampling and splitting of test material.
Perform quality control sampling and testing according to the approved Contractor Quality Control Plan in Section 153 and the applicable Sampling, Testing, and Acceptance Requirements tables included at the end of each Section. Allow the CO the opportunity to witness sampling and splitting of test material.

Materials excavated when the previous culvert was removed are stockpiled on the NW corner of the work area. Suitable materials may be excavated from that stockpile and used as select backfill. Do not excavate below surrounding grade.
Borrow materials are available from BLM site shown on the vicinity map located at approximately Latitude 43.15421° N, Longitude -123.65360° W.
Restore borrow sites to closely resemble pre-construction condition and stabilize prior to final acceptance of the project.
