About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file for a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) solicitation for seasonal firefighter lodging in Winnemucca, Nevada. The solicitation (Number 140L3926Q0001) seeks lodging options within one mile of 5100 E Winnemucca Blvd, with the current requirement running through April 30, 2025. The BLM clarifies that acceptable lodging includes a house, mobile home, modular home, or park model trailer, but explicitly excludes RV travel trailers. The previous purchase order was awarded to Target Logistics Management LLC, and the current solicitation maintains a one-mile proximity requirement to ensure quick emergency response for firefighters without personal vehicles.

The Q&A document addresses specific vendor inquiries about lodging options, confirming that this is not a new requirement but has a reduced scope compared to the previous contract. The BLM emphasizes that the lodging is not limited to hotels and that any property meeting the minimum requirements within the specified proximity would be considered acceptable. The current purchase order expires on 11/30/2025, indicating this solicitation is preparing for the next lodging contract for seasonal firefighters in the Winnemucca District.

Location: BLM-NV Winnemucca District Office Solicitation Number: 140L3926Q0001

Questions and Answers

1. Is this a new requirement?

A1. No this is not a new requirement; however, the requirement under this solicitation, through April 30, 2025, has decreased as noted in the Solicitation Amendment 001. The current purchase order expires 11/30/2025.

2. If so, could you please identify the incumbent awardee hotel (specifically the hotel utilized by the prime contractor, rather than the prime itself)?

A2. The current purchase order, 140L3925P0027, was awarded to Target Logistics

Management LLC. The lodging options provided did not include a hotel.

3. Can the lodging unit be an RV?

A3. No, an RV travel trailer would not be considered an equivalent or acceptable option.

4. Can the lodging unit be a mobile home?

A4. Yes, as noted in the Statement of Work, a modular home, park model trailer, or equivalent is acceptable. A mobile home would be considered an equivalent option as long as it met the minimum requirements.

5. Is a 3-bedroom house an acceptable option?

A5. Yes, as noted in the revised Statement of Work, a House is an acceptable option as long as it meets the minimum requirements.

6. The requirement for lodging within one mile of 5100 E Winnemucca Blvd, Winnemucca, NV

89445 appears to limit hotel eligibility to the Candlewood Suites Winnemucca. The next closest hotels are approximately 3–6 miles away. Will the proximity requirement be amended, or is the intent to limit eligibility to the Candlewood as the sole qualifying hotel property?

A6. As identified in the revised Statement of Work the radius of one mile allows for sufficient emergency response time for fire fighters that do not have personal vehicles.

The requirement is not limited to hotels so any property that meets that minimum requirements in the acceptable proximity would be considered.
