About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) amendment for the Red Rock Potable Water Line Repair contract (Solicitation 140L3925Q0082). The Q&A provides critical details about the procurement, including that this is a new requirement with no incumbent or previous contract award. The government anticipates funding availability in the current fiscal year but does not guarantee a contract award. Contractors must submit a Project Bid Schedule (A 06) in PDF format, with handwritten and scanned submissions also acceptable.
The document outlines specific technical requirements for water line repair, particularly the disinfection process. Contractors must remove a damaged pipe section, clean new and existing pipe ends with an NSF 61 chlorine solution, and connect pipes according to industry standards. After repair, the contractor must collect a water sample from the janitor's closet for total coliform testing by a State of Nevada certified laboratory. Vendors are also required to provide a written guarantee that their work is warranted for a minimum of one year. The government will verify disinfection by testing for chlorine residual (0.5-1.0 ppm) and confirming the absence of total coliforms before returning the system to service.
