About this file
This document is an Amendment 01 for the Rhyolite Water Tank Cleaning solicitation (140L3925Q0065) issued by the Bureau of Land Management Nevada Region. The amendment provides critical details for potential contractors, including key dates, site specifications, and supplementary information. Contractors must submit additional questions by 11:59 pm PDT on July 17, 2025, with the solicitation closing on July 23, 2025. The tank is located on publicly accessible land, buried approximately 10 feet below ground surface with 3 feet of rocks/soil/fill above it.
Specific technical details include a tank with a 22" diameter manway, requiring zinc-plated 1 1/2" bolts and approved gaskets for maintenance. Water will be delivered by WATER PROS from Las Vegas (702-316-9800), using a 1" PVC pipe approximately 460 feet long. After work completion, the contractor must install an 18-inch blue metal stake marking the manway's center. Site access does not require a scheduled visit, but contractors are advised to be considerate of the on-site caretaker's camper when examining the hose bib location.
