About this file
This document contains questions and answers from a post-site visit related to solicitation number 140L3722R0007 for the NIFC 405 HGR fire system replacement project. Key details include that the contractor is to demolish and remove the existing 12-gauge storage rack system and provide a new system as specified. The contractor is also to remove the existing shelving system and dispose of it offsite. Addendum 1 removed the requirement for a breaker testing instrument from the specification. Addendum 1 also provided the available fault current for the 15kV oil-filled transformer and the current load coordination study information. The panel is to be replaced as noted on drawings E002 and E101. Due to long material lead times, the period of performance has been adjusted to 200 days and interior work limiting building occupancy is restricted to the days described in the project schedule. Clearances are provided for card readers, fire pull stations, and door control hardware to fit between doors and nearby obstructions. The existing cable raceway system is to be used to support and allow movement of conductors and communication wiring to movable doors.
