Solicitation Number: 140L3624R0007 Project Title: Wildlife Friendly Fence Phase 1

Q1: What is the worst section of fence on this project?

A1: The section of the east/west running fence on the northern boundary has the most elevation variance, is the least accessible for most vehicles, and also has areas of more rock in the ground. The areas further to the west of the Bannack Bench Road have more ravines, gullies, and washes where there will likely be more deadman features needed.

Q2: Can we bring in a D8 Dozer to clear the brush as a substitute to mowing?

A2: No.

Q3: How do we access the entire fence perimeter with only designated routes being authorized for vehicle/equipment access?

A3: Many of the designated routes lead to or cross the fence project. At the points where the designated route leads to or crosses the fence project, the contractor will then be able to access their 12' work area and use the 12' work area to access the project perimeter with vehicles and/or equipment.

Q4: Are there many underground utilities in the area?

A4: The primary underground utilities are located in the project area alongside Bannack Bench Road. The government is not aware of underground utilities further out in the project area away from the Bannack Bench Road.

Q5: Can you provide large format maps?

A5: See Attachment 14- 140L3624R0007 Large Format Maps.
