Questions and Answers

1. Can they drive UTV/Side-by-side off road to creek? To haul material to creek?

a. No vehicles off road. UTV’s could be used to place materials where needed but avoid making established roads, also stated in SOW under requirements.

2. Can we put posts in now and come back in the winter to place materials (weave materials in posts)? This might minimize ground disturbance if ground is frozen.

a. There are no restrictions for working in the winter or when ground is frozen. The Government hasn’t seen this process done before; the risk would be on the contractor if it doesn’t work out.

3. Do we have all of the posts?

a. We have some now, the rest are being prepared and will be ready when performance starts.

4. Can we keep equipment at fuels treatment sites while loading and hauling equipment?

a. DNRC will have to confirm but quote as if you can.

5. Where are we getting materials? Is there enough?

a. Yes, there will be enough between the fuels site and city dump. Review the SOW to understand the risks of gathering material from city dump.
