About this file

This document is a Site Inspection Tour/Prebid Conference Record for Solicitation Number 140L2624R0006 issued by the Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management Idaho Region. The solicitation is for the IRA/BIL 2024 Twin Falls District Fence Repairs project.

The document provides details on the pre-bid site tour that was held on August 5, 2024, including the attendees and questions raised. Key requirements include the use of 10-gauge black domestic schedule 40 seamed or seamless pipe for the steel jacks, due to pressure from cattle and wildlife in the riparian area. 8. Questions asked and responses given:

1)Would you be opened to an alternate proposal of the black domestic sched 40 seamed Post pipe? I have used it many times for government contracts and it is a high-quality product. Yes, we would accept seamed pipe if it were black domestic sched 40

2) The specs indicate black pipe material to be used. Seeing as there is a pricing difference between the 2 materials, does black pipe refer to galvanized pipe or oil casing pipe? Neither it must be either seamed or seamless black domestic sched 40 pipe.

Oil casing pipe is not acceptable material.

3) Bison pipe has 14-gauge prefabricated pipe, the spec requires 10-gauge pipe, can we use 14-gauge pipe? No, you cannot use

14-gauge prefabricated pipe. The spec call for 10-gauge pipe for the steel jacks. This is a requirement due to the pressure from cattle and wildlife on the exclosure of the riparian area.

4) On the jack legs they are asking for a 10-gauge 2 3/8 OD pipe. However, they are normally produced with a 2 3/8 X .090 pipe.

The pipe you are asking for is double the price of the normal. The 10-gauge 2 3/8 OD pipe is a requirement in the specs due to the pressure from cattle and wildlife on the exclosure of the riparian area.

5) Can we get the latitude and longitude for the project sites so I can bring my foreman to the sites, at a later time? Yes

Goose Creek-Wilson Spring 42* 6' 54" N, 113* 54' 22" W, Upper Cold Creek 42* 6' 38" N, 113* 52' 55" W

South Hills-Shell Rock 2 42* 20' 39" N, 114* 19' 57 W, Shell Rock 1 42* 20' 9" N, 114* 19' 55" W, Sugar Loaf PL 42* 22' 31" N

114* 20' 34" W, Sugar Loaf 42* 22' 21" N, 114* 21' 22" W, McMullen 42* 22' 31"N, 114* 22' 31" W, Sage Hen 42* 22' 11" N

114* 23' 19" W, Shoshone Basin- 3 Bridges 42* 4' 24" N, 114* 26' 24" W

6) When does your time start, does the ten days count as part of the 60 days, and when would we know after the close of the bids.

The 60 days start after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed
