Question Government response Reference 1 Will this project require a loader as well as the truck to transport or will there be a loader on site. Contractor will provide all required equipment 2 What type of aggregate is being transported? Crushed aggregate spoil material <3/4 minus.
Can you specify how the aggregate will be presented at pickup? WIll it be loaded into super sacks or palletized? We are trying to identify what equipment will be needed at pickup site Piles of rock on compacted earth. see Fr-65-s Reject Piles
By the description below the word 'Stockpiles". I just want to verify that the trucks will just be dumping "Piles''? Which would be an end dump trailer versus using side dump trailers. What would BLM prefer?
End dump trailers or side dump trailers? Stockpiles may be dumped piles. Method at contractors discretion.
PWS 1.6.6 Project Boundary Marking
You state you need weight tickets to confirm quantities. Are you supplying a scale or do we need to go find one in the area?
Government is not supplying scales. Also acceptable method - Truck bucket size and approximate fill level. Contractor verifies bucket fill level/volume via ticket.
I wanted to reach out and ask if there is any bonding required for the Henry's Lake Aggregate Hauling project? Bonding is not required.
7 What type of aggregate material will be hauled? Crushed aggregate spoil material <3/4 minus.
In Attachment 1 it states “All material shall be verified by delivery ticket with delivery volume.” We are questioning how this is to take place?
Truck bucket size and approximately fill level. Contractor verifies bucket fill level/volume via ticket.
What type of trucks are allowed for "conventional type hauling" (ie. dump truck, side dump or belly dump) Dump truck, side dump and belly dump are allowed.
10 Could you please clarify what is required for the traffic control plan? Traffic control plan should be sufficient to demonstrate warning and handling of traffic. PWS 4.2.3 11 When bidding is complete, will we see results for who gets the job? Notice of award will be posted on SAM.
