About this file
This Statement of Work outlines requirements for bulk Jet A fuel delivery to the Alaska Fire Service's Fort Yukon Field Station. The station, which serves as a critical logistical hub for fire protection across millions of acres, requires fuel delivery to maintain three storage tanks (6,000 gal, 5,000 gal, and 2,000 gal) and one truck (2,500 gal) on an as-needed basis. Due to lack of road access, all fuel must be delivered by aircraft.
The Department of Interior Bureau of Land Management Alaska Region requires deliveries to begin by April 1, 2025, with deliveries made to two fixed-wing aircraft ramps - one on the northeast corner with a 2,000-gallon tank and another on the northwest end with 5,000 and 6,000-gallon tanks. The vendor must handle all deliveries, maintain proper documentation including delivery tickets and invoices, and follow OSHA regulations for spill management. The contract will be structured as a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with individual call orders issued as needed, with payment processed through IPP.

Statement of Work
1.0 Background
The Upper Yukon Zone for Alaska Fire Service has a remote field station in Ft Yukon, Alaska that has the capability to fuel aircraft for project work and fire suppression. There are 3 tanks (1- 6000 gal, 1- 5000 gal, and 1- 2000 gal) and 1 truck (2500 gal). These tanks need to be filled on as needed basis and needs to be done before the tanks drop below certain critical levels, keeping the tanks always primed. Jet A fuel is only delivered via aircraft due to Ft. Yukon not having road access. This fuel provides for Alaska Fire Service’s logistical and tactical aircraft to include both fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft. Fort Yukon is a logistical hub for millions of acres protected by AFS. In many cases the far reaches of Upper Yukon Zone’s protection area cannot be accessed without stopping to refuel at Ft. Yukon. Therefore, it’s imperative that we keep our fuel tanks topped off with proficient levels to always provide critical fire support.
