About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity 140G0326Q0122 addressing inquiries regarding 3/4-ton truck procurement specifications and delivery requirements.
The Government will accept alternative engine configurations, including turbo diesel V6 engines, provided the engine produces a minimum of 375 horsepower and the vehicle has a minimum towing capacity of 10,000 lbs. Single rear wheel configuration is preferred over dual rear wheel setup for the required 8-foot bed configuration. Contractor personnel delivery is the preferred method, though third-party transportation carriers are permitted. Temporary dealer tags are acceptable at delivery, with the stipulation that payment cannot be released until the Government receives the vehicle title. An active manufacturer warranty is preferred but not mandatory for award consideration. Minor cosmetic imperfections are acceptable if the vehicle is mechanically sound and otherwise compliant with solicitation requirements, provided the contractor submits pictures of any damage beforehand. Offerors may submit quotations for multiple vehicle options for Government consideration. American brand vehicles—including Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, and Ram—manufactured in Canada or Mexico remain acceptable under the "American brand" requirement.
