About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the HVAC system replacement for the United States Geological Survey (USGS) at the Hog Canyon Microwave Radio Relay Site in San Miguel, San Luis Obispo County, California. The project requires a contractor to conduct a detailed inspection of the existing HVAC system, remove the old system, and install a new HVAC system with specific requirements, including a full stand-alone HVAC controller compatible with the Asentria SiteBoss 550 Remote Site Manager. The contractor must ensure proper grounding, test the system's heating, cooling, and ventilation functions, and provide complete documentation.
Contractor qualifications include having experience with at least three comparable communications shelter HVAC system installations, each performing satisfactorily for a minimum of one year. The installation must comply with various federal laws, national codes, and industry standards, including Department of Labor regulations, ANSI/EIA/TIA standards, and Motorola R-56 Guidelines. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary HVAC systems, components, tools, and accessories, while USGS will provide site access. The project involves a comprehensive replacement and upgrade of the existing HVAC infrastructure at the specified communications site.
