Staining of IDWSC Building #1 & #3

Q: What are the necessary steps we would have to take if they find rotten wood?

A: If the contractor identifies any rotten or extremely warped siding causing issues with staining, the contractor needs to notify the Contracting Officer and technical representative for inspection. The contractor should be able to provide a rough estimate for the repair when it is discovered. If it is deemed rotten or too damaged for reuse, the IDWSC Facilities office can either purchase and install the replacement wood, or the contractor can (for example, not to exceed $1,000).
