About this file

This is an amendment to a federal solicitation that provides final questions and answers, revises product specifications, and extends key dates for a chemical reagent procurement.

The amendment modifies specifications for two primary products: 7.5-7.7N Ultrex grade nitric acid (JT Baker) and 4.5N sulfuric acid (Fisher Chemical Trace Metal grade), both supplied in 4.5 mL polypropylene vials. The revision adds method descriptions and method citations for contamination testing of metal constituents in the nitric acid, referencing USGS and EPA standard methods such as inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). For the sulfuric acid, the amendment similarly adds method descriptions and citations for nutrient and carbon constituent testing, including dissolved organic carbon, ammonia, nitrite plus nitrate, and phosphorus analysis using colorimetric and high-temperature oxidation methods. The amendment removes mercury constituent requirements for the 6N (1:1) OmniTrace HCl product and related Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan provisions. The quotation submission deadline is extended from September 17, 2026 to October 8, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time, with electronic submissions required to lisa_williams@ios.doi.gov. The anticipated period of performance is shifted from September 21, 2026–September 20, 2028 to October 19, 2026–October 18, 2028. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
