About this file

This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document addressing contractor requirements and budgetary details for a sequencing services procurement.

The government requires an established contractor capable of providing both Illumina and AVITI sequencing services, with AVITI sequencing being a mandatory requirement. For Illumina sequencing, the government anticipates shipping 70-94 samples at a time with up to 500 samples annually. For AVITI sequencing, the government expects to ship larger batches of 94-394 samples at a time with significantly higher annual volume of up to 1,600 samples. The total budget for this requirement is $250,000 across the entire five-year contract period, not annually.

Text version

1. Does the contractor need to provide both Illumina and AVITI sequencing services or would just Illumina sequencing suffice across all libraries?

We have to have a contractor that offers AVITI sequencing services. We require an established contractor with AVITI sequencing services.

2. How many samples will be shipped at a time? How many will be sent per year?

For Illumina sequencing, we would likely send 70-94 at a time and up to 500/year.

For AVITI sequencing, we would likely send 94-394 at a time and up to 1600/year.

3. Is the $250K budget for each year or for all 5 years?

250K for a total of all 5 years
