About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the repair and resurfacing of the West Parking Lot at the USGS facility. The project requires comprehensive asphalt replacement, including removing existing asphalt, repairing the underlying base, replacing damaged curbing, and restriping the parking lot. Specific requirements include using plant mix pavement conforming to Wisconsin Asphalt Pavement Association (WAPA) Design Guide, addressing storm drain and curbing issues, and following Wisconsin Department of Transportation guidelines.
Key project parameters include performing work outside regular facility hours, coordinating with USGS Technical Liaison to avoid disrupting research equipment, and completing the repair, sealcoat, and restriping within 60 days of notice to proceed. The contractor must provide a draft design and work schedule, carry $100,000 liability insurance, and warranty all workmanship for 12 months after government acceptance. The project involves detailed specifications for parking space dimensions, surface preparation, material installation, and final inspection criteria, with strict adherence to industry standards and safety protocols.
