About this file

This document is a Standard Form 30 Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Mercury Research Laboratory. The amendment updates the solicitation for a scientific instrument with revised technical specifications, including changes to requirements for gas chromatography coupling, Faraday cup configuration, amplifier capabilities, software controls, and future upgrade potential for mass spectrometry analysis.

The amendment extends the quotation due date to September 9, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time. Key specification modifications include: removing the requirement for fully automated collector cup positioning, adjusting software control capabilities for baking systems and peripherals, and updating the instrument's capability for future MS/MS option conversion. The USGS Mercury Research Lab's background information was also updated to reflect its expanded analytical capabilities, including mercury isotope measurements and potential expansion into other stable isotope systems.
