RFQ 140G0223Q0149 Media Studio System and Installation
Attachment A – Question and Answer (Q&A)
AMD 001
Question: In reference to the PWS, Task 2, The contractor shall configure the system to meet USGS IT security specifications and test the system to ensure system components meet all manufacturers’ specifications and performance standards. The contractor must document the test results and provide them to the Government’s Technical Liaison (TL) within two weeks of installation of the system.
Is the above requirement required to be accomplished before submitting the quote?
Answer: The government is mandated to add the above verbiage for any IT-related procurement to ensure the system delivered is compatible and compliant with USGS IT security requirements. The requirements include running an approved OS, having Active Directory and multifactor authentication, etc. While the government does not anticipate this to be an issue, and if it proves to be a challenge, the government will take extra caution and necessary action to have the system fully compliant with the IT security requirements.
